A full scale in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) treatment was performed on a 3.5 acre volatile organic compound plume beneath an industrial warehouse.  Sodium persulfate was injected into over 900 injection wells.  The initial treatment resulted in a 70% reduction, and smaller “spot” treatments were performed which resulted in the receipt of a No Further Action (NFA).

Case Study SymbolSoil Blending Application

A soil blending pilot test was performed at an active wood treatment facility in the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia.  Subsurface investigations indicated the presence of creosote NAPL, PAHs, and pentachlorophenol.  An in-situ pilot test was performed using catalyzed hydrogen peroxide (CHP) with varying activator concentrations.  Sampling results indicated PAH concentrations below target treatment levels.
